The SMPS is tasked with the responsibility of seizing property that is in default and holding judicial auctions and sales on behalf of the creditor.
The SMPS purchases materials, goods and supplies from various vendors throughout the year for operations. Occasionally, we also construct or renovate public facilities. Under state law, some of these goods and supplies or construction projects must be purchased via the Louisiana Public Bid Law (LRS 38:2211).
