The Special Services Bureau is comprised of unique individuals with abilities and experience to provide service via the many public service programs implemented by the Saint Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office. The bureau works with many public agencies at the local, state, and federal levels to provide services to the community. |Crime Prevention-Neighborhood Watch||
Deputies in the Special Services Department can provide residents with information on Crime Prevention and ways to keep both themselves and their property safe.
|Crisis Intervention (CIT)||Several Saint Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies have received specialized training to become Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officers and they are equipped to respond to persons who may be experiencing a mental health crisis event.|
The D.A.R.E. program for Saint Martin Parish is operated under the auspices of the Saint Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Elderly, Youth and Community Services division within the Special Services Bureau.
|Elderly, Youth and Community Services||The Elderly, Youth and Community Services Division of the Special Services Bureau handle elderly services relations for the Saint Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office.|
|Victim’s Assistance||The Louisiana Crime Victims Reparations Fund helps innocent victims and their families when they have no other means of paying for the financial cost of a crime. The fund is administered by the Crime Victims Reparations Board under the jurisdiction of the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement.|
