Scholarship Programs
Applications for the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association Educational Scholarship Program are distributed to each of the High Schools in Saint Martin Parish in February.
- The Louisiana Sheriff’s Association Educational Scholarship Program awards a scholarship to a graduating high school student where the Sheriffs are members of the Louisiana Sheriff’s Honorary Membership Program. The goal of the program is to provide assistance to worthy Louisiana students in furthering their education and training with resources made available through the program. The scholarship is given to a graduating high school senior (must be a resident of Saint Martin Parish) in the amount of $500.00. Applications are available beginning in February and completed applications must be submitted to the Saint Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office by April 1st. The winner will be announced by May 1st. - The student must plan to be enrolled as a full-time, undergraduate student for the Fall Semester of the current year.
- The applicant must show a financial need by providing a copy of their parent’s Tax Return Form.
The application must be completely filled out and have all the required documents attached at the time of submission. This scholarship is being offered to help the student meet the costs associated with higher education. Completed applications may be mailed to:

Applications must be completed by April 1st. A committee of non-partisan citizens will review, evaluate, and select a winner.
