(St. Martinville, LA.)-Sheriff Becket Breaux announces that in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary in progress at a residence in the 1300 block of Earline Drive in Breaux Bridge. Upon arrival, Deputies learned that several vehicles and sheds at residences on Earline Drive had been burglarized.
An investigation was initiated and shortly before 9:00 a.m., Deputies received information regarding a vehicle that was stuck in a field near the vicinity of the burglaries. Upon arrival, Deputies identified the owner of the vehicle as Donald Celestine, Jr., 25, Lafayette. A search warrant for the vehicle was obtained, and following the execution of the warrant, Deputies located items linking Donald Celestine to the burglaries. He was subsequently arrested and charged as follows:
- 8 Counts-LA. R.S. 14:62-Simple Burglary-(Felony)
Following his arrest, he was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges and his bond was set at $4,000.00.
