Two St. Martin Parish Men Arrested In Connection With Crack Cocaine Manufacturing Operation

(St. Martinville, LA)-Following an investigation into reports of illegal drug activity, Narcotics Agents with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant following the purchase of crack cocaine by an undercover Agent from a residence in the 100 block of Perkins St. in St. Martinville. The search warrant was executed early this morning and Agents recovered materials, supplies, and equipment used to manufacture crack cocaine. They also recovered crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana, hydrocodone, ecstasy, a loaded handgun and $7,000 dollars in U.S. Currency. These arrests shut down a crack cocaine manufacturing operation and kept drugs off the streets of St. Martin Parish.

The following two men were arrested and charged as follows:

Broderick Sylvester, 28, St. Martinville:

1 count of Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law: Drug Free Zone

1 count of Creation or Operation of a clandestine laboratory for the unlawful manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance

1 count of Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II CDS (Cocaine)

1 count of Possession of Schedule III CDS (Hydrocodone)

1 count of Possession of Schedule I CDS (Marijuana)

1 count of Possession of Schedule I CDS (MDMA)

Andre Wiltz 22, Breaux Bridge:

1 count of Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law: Drug Free Zone

1 count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Crack Cocaine)

1 count of Possession of Schedule III CDS (Hydrocodone)

1 count of Possession of Schedule I CDS (Marijuana)

1 count of Illegal Carrying of Weapons (Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS)




Following their arrest, they were booked in to the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges. At the time of this release, no bond had been set.
