Two Breaux Bridge Men Arrested On Drug Charges

(St. Martinville, LA)-Late yesterday evening, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division along with the Patrol Division and S.W.A.T. Team, executed a narcotics search warrant at a property located in the 1100 block of Ches Broussard Hwy., in Breaux Bridge. The search warrant was obtained following an investigation by Narcotics Agents into suspected illegal drug activity at the property.

Prior to executing the search warrant, Agents learned that the property owner, Louis Mamou Jr., was wanted on a Warrant for Attempted Second Degree Murder. Following the execution of the search warrant, Agents found Louis Mamou Jr., 69, and Damion Morgan, 25, to be in possession of Crack Cocaine and Drug Paraphernalia. They were subsequently arrested and charged as follows:

Louis Mamou Jr. :

1 Count: Attempted First Degree Murder

1 Count: Possession with the intent to distribute Crack Cocaine

1 Count: Possession of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile

1 Count: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Damion Morgan:

1 Count: Possession with the intent to distribute Crack Cocaine

1 Count: Possession of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile

1 Count: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Following their arrests, they were both booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges.
