UPDATED RELEASE

Second Suspect Who Was Wanted In Connection With Breaux Bridge Shooting Arrested

(St. Martinville, LA.)-Last night, shortly before 10:30 p.m., the second suspect, Wilbert Derousselle, 17, Breaux Bridge, LA., who was wanted in connection with Thursday afternoon’s shooting on Hebert Avenue in Breaux Bridge, was arrested by Investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office and charged with the following:

1 count Attempted 1st Degree Murder

1 count Aggravated Burglary

Chance Sam, 19, who was previously charged in connection with the traffic crash also faces the following charges:

1 count Attempted 1st Degree Murder

1 count Aggravated Burglary

Both suspects were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges and the investigation remains ongoing.
