Investigators Asking For The Public’s Assistance In Identifying Suspect In Recent Truck Stop Vehicle Burglaries

(St. Martinville, LA.)-Investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with recent vehicle burglaries that occurred at a local truck stop in the 1300 block of Evangeline Thruway, Broussard. Deputies responded to the truck stop following a report by management regarding criminal damage to property involving one vehicle, and vehicle burglary complaints on several other vehicles.

At 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, the suspect as seen in the attached video and pictures, was seen burglarizing several vehicles in the parking lot. The suspect is described as being a white male and was wearing a dark colored coat and hat. The suspect’s vehicle is described as being a champagne colored Chevy Silverado extended cab truck.

If anyone knows the identity of the person or recognizes the suspect vehicle, they are asked to contact the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office at (337) 394-3071.

We would also like to remind the public to please lock your doors upon exiting your vehicle and store all valuables out of sight or lock them in your trunk.
