Armed Addis Man Arrested For Attempting To Sell Methamphetamine

To Undercover Sheriff’s Deputy

(St. Martinville, LA)-This morning, following an investigation into reports of suspected illegal drug activity, Narcotics Agents with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation which led them to a parking lot in the 1900 block of Rees St. Breaux Bridge, LA. An undercover Narcotics Agent met Chad Fonseca 35, Addis, LA., who attempted to sell over an ounce of methamphetamine to the undercover officer. Following his detainment by Narcotics Agents, they located a concealed loaded handgun in his waistband. Agents also recovered over an ounce of methamphetamine whereby he was subsequently arrested and charged with the following:

Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine over 28 grams)

Illegal Carrying of a Weapons (concealed weapon)

Illegal Carrying Of Weapons In The Presence of a CDS

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

  

Following his arrest, he was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges. At the time of this release, no bond had been set.
